2023 Exhibitions and Demos
EXHIBITIONS
This year we held our spring exhibition on the 25th March at the Old Coulsdon Bowls Club and we also hosted a stand at the rotary fair at Grange Park on the 1st July. Both exhibitions went well and showcased the talent of our members.
Our annual winter exhibition will be held at The Old Coulsdon Bowling Club .

ART DEMONSTRATIONS
We usually have 3 demonstrations a year and this year we have been lucky enough to host –
Ian Pope on the 6th April – overpainting and layering techniques in oils, using classical techniques and styles.
Tushar Sabale demonstrated plein air painting in oils
Ellie Green on the 19th october – demonstrating how to make Oak Gall ink using galls foraged on her walks in the Surrey Hills. Later in the evening she’ll share some of her ‘drawing with the brush’ techniques and will explain how working with just a brush and ink can be the perfect foundation for watercolour painting as well as a soothing and meditative process in its own right.
